Side effects of drinking water in plastic Bottles

Plastic bottles are now all over the place.  According to Reuters data, 1.3 billion plastic bottles are sold every day, which amounts to 481 billion a year.  We all know these plastic bottles are not good for the environment.  Not even for our bodies.

It is said that it is not right to drink water in a plastic bottle.  Microplastics remain in most bottled water.  This material is very harmful to the body.

The damage that can be caused by repeated use of plastic bottles

► Most of the water bottles sold in the market are made of single-use plastic. Drinking water in these bottles on a daily basis increases your risk of developing cancer in your body. Plastic bottles are made of several ingredients including 'Bisphenol A' or 'BPA', which are harmful to the body.  If you drink water in such a bottle for a long time, these elements continue to enter the body from the bottle.  If plastic bottles are filled with hot water, this risk increases further.

► The World Health Organization says that harmful 'microplastics' can enter the body as a result of using plastic bottles.  The microscopic particles of plastic are scientifically called 'microplastics'.  According to the statistics of the World Health Organization, about 93 percent of plastic bottles contain this harmful substance.

► It is not only the person who is drinking the water, it can harm the next generation as well.  Experts say, a type of plastic called 'Type 7' can cause reproductive problems.

► According to the Thomas Reuters Foundation, we can actually consume a lot of plastic through microplastics in our lifetime.  That's about 44 pounds.  This number mainly enters our bodies from plastic bottles and seafood.  The plastic that we throw into the river or ocean later comes back to us through our favorite shrimp or fish.

► On the other hand, according to the Cancer Council of Australia, drinking from a plastic bottle will not endanger your health.  The company explains that plastic bottles are just as safe as any other bottle.  They also said that various soft drinks also contain microplastic particles but their quantity is very small.  But everything in excess is bad for the body.

According to the Cancer Council of Australia, a potential health risk associated with plastic bottles is that if not cleaned regularly, these bottles can create an environment for bacteria and fungi to grow.  So better not to reuse.
